Floyd is a native of Iowa. He studied at The University of Northern Iowa and has a BA in Art Education. He received his Master of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Iowa and has done further graduate work at Michigan State University. He spent 35 years of his Art Career as a potter. He returned to his first love of painting 25 years ago and has been creating expressive still life paintings with pleasing compositions.
