SUMMARY:Plein Air Painting workshop with Wayne
DESCRIPTION:Join artist Wayne Chunat in a Plein Air painting workshop. This workshop will be approximately 3 hours in length\, (rain or shine) with a 30-45 minute introduction; covering equipment to construct or purchase\, mediums\, supports\, clothing\, resources\, and the basic priciples of Plein Air Painting. The remaining time will be spent in the field painting followed by a critique. \nWeather will not be a deterrent. In the case of heavy rain and or thunderstorms\, we will seek cover. \nMediums to be addressed are: watercolor\, gouache\, and acrylic. Wayne will be working in acrylic. \nThis class will take place on Saturday July 18th 1-4pm. Cost is $35 \nAttendees are required to bring all equipment and painting materials for your preferred medium. A mimimum of 6 people are required for this class\, and a maximum of 10. \nIt is recommended that you bring only what you can carry or tote. Minimize and think small. Everything should fit into a small duffel bag\, no bigger than you can carry. \nBelow is a list of recommended items to bring for this class: \nBrushes: 1/2 inch flat\, fan\, #6 round\, rigger \nBasic colors of paint \ndrawing utensils\, kneaded eraser \nwater & plastic contianer or solvents for oil painting \nplastic bag for waste \npaper towels or wipe rags \neasel or wet box if painting in oils \npalette \na number of prepped panels/paper/canvas/foam board/mask tape (limit size to 11×14\, 8×10\, 5×7) \numbrella with clamp/use with caution \nsit upon/camp stool \nrain smock or large plastic trash bag \ntwo mat corners and clips used to crop the scene \ndigital camera or cell phone \nfor more information email Wayne at: waynechunat@gmail.com  \n**Scholarships are available for this class\, Please call EAC at 440-328-3025 or email us at: elyriaartscouncil@gmail.com if interested***
