Lisha is an Elyria resident who moved from Virginia as a child. She stumbled upon watercolor painting when her children were in school. She had the desire to learn from other artists by studying watercolor books from the library. She quickly returned the books feeling the medium was too challenging. With determination she returned to the library and borrowed more books and began again. She put in time and practice and became comfortable painting with “colored water”. Years later she came full circle to teaching watercolor and owning her own boutique where she teaches classes and sells her work. She enjoys painting portraits, landscapes, and everything in between. Gardening is her second love and painting flowers is one of her enjoyable pastimes. She loves to strive for a realistic look and paints in a tight contorolled manner using the very fluid medium. She also dabbles in oils, pencil, chalk, torn paper art, and crayon. She has been teaching for 10+ years and loves sharing her love of watercolors with others!
