Kids Art After School is EAC’s longest running program at The Elyria Arts Council is our Kids’ After School Art program. It has been so popular that we are now offering after school programs for two age groups. Art After School takes place one or two Wednesdays a month during the school year (sometimes once a month depending on holidays). The projects in this program are best for children ages 5-11 years of age. Kids get a chance to use their imagination while focusing on creativity and technique. They will experience a variety of drawing, painting, and 3-dimensional projects throughout the year. We ask if your child is 5 years of age or has not attended kindergarten to please have a more mature “assistant” attend with the child to help with instructions. The assistant can be a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, or babysitter. In order to have adequate supplies and table space pre-registration is required. Please give us a call at 440-328-3025 or email us to sign-up for each session of Kid’s Art After School. The registration window for each session begins 2 weeks before each session. This program is a donation based program. We want all who wish to attend to be able to, regardless of ability to donate. Our “Suggested Donation” is $5.00 per attendee. Yearly fundraisers are held to make this program accessible to all. Kids Art Afterschool will be held from 4:30-5:30 during the 2026-2027 school year from 4:30-5:30 pm: September 23rd, October 7th & 21st, November 10th & 24th, and December 9th, 2026, January 13th & 27th, February 10th & 24th, March 10th & 24th, April 14th, & 28th, and May 12th & 26th 2027. If Local Schools are closed due to inclement weather on any of these dates, Kids Art Afterschool will be cancelled for that day.
