

Join artist Wayne Chunat in a Plein Air painting workshop. This workshop will be approximately 3 hours in length, (rain or shine) with a 30-45 minute introduction; covering equipment to construct or purchase, mediums, supports, clothing, resources, and the basic priciples of Plein Air Painting. The remaining time will be spent in the field painting followed by a critique.
Weather will not be a deterrent. In the case of heavy rain and or thunderstorms, we will seek cover.
Mediums to be addressed are: watercolor, gouache, and acrylic. Wayne will be working in acrylic.
This class will take place on Saturday July 18th 1-4pm. Cost is $35
Attendees are required to bring all equipment and painting materials for your preferred medium. A mimimum of 6 people are required for this class, and a maximum of 10.
It is recommended that you bring only what you can carry or tote. Minimize and think small. Everything should fit into a small duffel bag, no bigger than you can carry.
Below is a list of recommended items to bring for this class:
Brushes: 1/2 inch flat, fan, #6 round, rigger
Basic colors of paint
drawing utensils, kneaded eraser
water & plastic contianer or solvents for oil painting
plastic bag for waste
paper towels or wipe rags
easel or wet box if painting in oils
palette
a number of prepped panels/paper/canvas/foam board/mask tape (limit size to 11×14, 8×10, 5×7)
umbrella with clamp/use with caution
sit upon/camp stool
rain smock or large plastic trash bag
two mat corners and clips used to crop the scene
digital camera or cell phone
