Anne knew in sixth grade that she wanted to be an artist for a career. She was encouraged by her parents, grandmother, and an aunt in her artistic endeavors. She started her first art business in High school creating and selling various painted wood crafts, wreaths, and Christmas ornaments. Her High school Art teacher Ed Cebula encouraged her to become an Art teacher. She was involved in 4-H and during her college years worked as the Craft Instructor at Kelleys Island 4-H camp.  She went to the University of Akron and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. She taught K-8 Art for 14 years at Avon Schools. Her passion for pottery began with classes she took in college. She began a pottery business with some friends after college. She also loves to paint, sew, and do beadwork. Her mixed media “Leaf Weavings” have won awards at Art Shows. She often teaches classes at EAC and Gathering Hope House. She is a founding member of EAC and teaches “The Kid’s Art Drop-in” program and is the producer of EAC’s “At Home” Art videos. She lives in Elyria with her creative husband Jason, and a house full of beloved pets.
