Born in Puerto Rico in 1948, Daniel Ramos has spent most of his adult life in Elyria, Ohio where he raised his family and worked in manufacturing. His interest in art began more than 50 years ago with geometric, abstract, and Impressionist inspired works. After a five decade hiatus, Daniel returned to painting as a creative outlet following his retirement. His faith has also remained an important part of his life. Working primarily with latex paint on canvas, Daniel combines color and geometric forms in a style he calls “Cosmic Graphics”. Hi work uses shapes, lines, and colors to represent familiar images and scenery in unconventional and indiresct ways, inviiting viewers to see familiar subjects form a different persepective. Since returning to painting in January, Daniel has created dozens of works and continues to explore new ideas through his art.
