Marci Rich, author of Looking Back at Elyria: A Midwest City at Midcentury, has published poetry, essays, and journalism, earning honors from the Acedemy of American Poets, BlogHer, the Huffington Post, and the PressClub of Cleveland. She twice won Best Freelance Writer in Ohio awards, in 2018 and 2019, in the Press Club’s All Ohio Excellence in Journalism competetion for her local history feature series “Look Back, Elyria”, which she writes for The Chronicle-Telegram, and which formed the basis of her book. She was selected to attend the Ohioana Book Festival in Columbus in 2020.
She is a graduate of Lorain County Communtiy College and Oberlin College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, specializing in creative writing.
